Christian Homeschooling
Why should Christians Homeschool their children?
Christianity is under attack in just about every public arena from homosexuals to feminists, to those who are promoting a Godless socialist government in which Christianity will be outlawed as an enemy of the state. One of the institutions most under attack are public schools. Thanks to the unholy alliance between feminists and homosexuals, Public schools have been transformed into a forum for all manner of anti-Christian agendas. Prayer has been thrown out, and now Christmas is no longer allowed.
Public schools, thanks to the support of the feminist led NEA (National Education Association), have become homosexual havens. Homosexuals are not only being allowed full access to our kids to teach them that homosexuality is OK, but also that it is bad to speak against homosexuality. Our kids are being allowed to openly defy the wishes of their parents. Under a guise of privacy, 8th graders in California can leave their public schools, without the knowledge or consent of parents, to get an abortion or AIDS testing. An eighth grade girl is presumed to have the mental capacity to decide to murder her child but apparently doesn't have the mental capacity to consent to the sexual act that produced the child. This of course is due to the feminist influence in our schools.
What Can Christian Parents Do? The Bible teaches us that education is a parental responsibility at the very least up until the age of thirteen at which time children went to religious schools for education in the faith. This stems from the Jewish system of education noted in the Bible.
Homeschooling opponents and those ignorant of the facts claim that homeschooled children will not be able to go to college or get a good education. The truth is that homeschooled children generally excel in both these areas according to national testing and college admissions of homeschooled students.
Consider this information from Learn In freedom, an excellent resource for statistics on homeschooling that you should bookmark.
Today, more than one million homeschooled children in the United States and tens of thousands of other learners around the world are learning outside of school. Now that homeschooling is growing worldwide, the real-world experiences of learners show that schools are not necessary for learning and socialization. Particularly, socialization research confirms that young people can grow up more mature and poised than their age-peers if they avoid the age segregation characteristic of almost all schools. Licensed professionals in the field of language development of children all agree that parental interaction with children is indispensable for children learning to talk, so it is no surprise that parental interaction with children is necessary for other aspects of child development as well. Your children can learn to read at home, as tens of thousands of children in homeschooling families have already. Even schools of higher education that are selective about admitting adult learners are happy to admit applicants who never attended school in their childhood, so the number of colleges that admit homeschoolers has grown to more than 1,000 colleges in at least five countries."
This site is designed to help Christians to recognize the need to stop supporting the anti-christian agendas of public schools in favor of Christian homeschooling. Public schools have clearly become dangerous to the Christian faith and in the development of children in Christian homes. We hope the resources here will dispel any negative myths about homeschooling as well as to encourage Christian Parents to choose homeschooling as their choice for the protection and education of their children.
